Transform Your Outdoor Living Space with Durable Furniture Made for Northeast Weather Braving Northeast weather means your outdoor furniture needs to work as hard as you do. Forget flimsy sets that fade or crack by fall—your backyard oasis deserves durable patio sets built to last through every season. At Patio Place at Ski Haus, we specialize in quality outdoor gear designed to keep your outdoor living space inviting year-round. Stick around to find out how to choose patio furniture that stands up to the toughest conditions while making your home enhancement dreams come true. Choosing Durable Patio Furniture Choosing the right outdoor furniture means understanding how to face Northeast weather challenges head-on. Let's dive into the details of what makes furniture truly durable and suitable for your space. Understanding Northeast Weather Challenges Weather in the Northeast is no joke. With harsh winters and humid summers, your patio furniture faces extreme conditions. Snow can freeze and crack materials, while the summer sun can fade even the boldest colors. That's why it's crucial to select furniture that can handle these challenges without breaking a sweat. Consider this: when temperatures drop, materials like metal can become brittle. In contrast, wooden furniture might warp after a rainy season. The key is selecting items that resist these common issues. For example, aluminum furniture offers rust-resistance, recycled poly and marine grade polymer offer exceptional durability and resistance to the outdoor elements. Materials That Stand the Test of Time When it comes to outdoor furniture, not all materials are created equal. Your best bet is to choose materials that offer longevity and withstand the elements. Let's explore a few options. Recycled Poly: Each piece diverts significant plastic waste from landfills and waterways. Also, the recycled poly can look just like teak but will not warp, rot, crack or splinter like teak. Furniture remains intact through harsh new england conditions. Aluminum: Lightweight and rust-resistant, aluminum is perfect for those who want easy maintenance without compromising durability. Wicker: Modern wicker, made from synthetic fibers, withstands sun and rain, keeping its look season after season. Selecting the right material not only saves you money in the long run but also enhances your outdoor oasis. Benefits of Quality Outdoor Gear Investing in quality outdoor gear pays off in comfort and style. High-qu …

Keep Your Gear in Top Shape: Essential Tips for Ski and Snowboard Maintenance Ski gear that’s not ready can turn a great day into a frustrating one. When you skip regular ski maintenance, your equipment won’t perform the way it should on the slopes. Let’s walk through simple ski and snowboard care tips that keep your gear tuned and ready for peak performance all season long. Visit Ski Haus today for expert tuning services and gear advice! For more detailed insights, check out this guide on ski and snowboard maintenance. Essential Ski Maintenance Tips Your skiing experience can be either a delight or a disaster, depending on how well you maintain your gear. Here are some key tips to ensure your skis remain in top form. Waxing for Peak Performance Waxing is crucial for smooth skiing. It makes your ride faster and more enjoyable. The process isn't as tricky as some might think. Begin by cleaning your skis. Remove any dirt or old wax with a base cleaner. Apply a layer of ski wax. Let it cool before scraping off the excess. Regular waxing every few outings ensures your skis glide effortlessly. For a more in-depth look, check out this guide on ski tuning and maintenance. Edge Sharpening Essentials Sharp edges are a must for control on icy slopes. A quick examination can reveal when they need attention. Run your fingers lightly along the edges. Feel for dullness or burrs. Use a file to sharpen them. Always move from tip to tail. This simple task keeps you in control, enhancing safety and enjoyment. Test the release function regularly. If it's too tight or loose, adjust it. Check for wear and tear. Replace parts as needed. Properly adjusted bindings ensure you stay safe on the slopes. Most people think their bindings are fine, but it's worth a second look. Snowboard Care for Longevity Snowboards also need love to stay ride-ready. Simple steps can significantly extend their life. Base Repair Techniques The base of your snowboard takes a beating. Regular checks can prevent long-term damage. Inspect your base often. Look for gouges or scratches. Use a repair kit for minor fixes. Melt some p-tex into the damaged area. These repairs keep your board smooth and fast. For more tips, explore this https://neversummer.com/blogs/snowboarding/snowbo …

Hello Snow Sport Enthusiasts! Weather experts are saying we are in for a real New England winter this year! Personally, I can’t wait. I am a snow- and cold-loving New Englander that has lived here all my life, and I love a good winter! Bring on the cold and snow it doesn’t get better than when it is snowing for days. At Ski Haus we all feel the same way! My family and our wonderful staff (who are just like family to us) all look forward to days filled with the crisp air and beautiful, bluebird sky which means winter is around the corner! We are setting up the stores with a new selection of specially curated products to help you weather the weather.   From our great partners at Smartwool we have super cute & handsome base layers that are equally at home on the slopes as it is at your Pilates class.  How about Krimson Klover’s selection of adorable sweaters and apré wear for on and off the slopes.  We have brought in again a great Norwegian line called Norrona full of Goretex and other sustainable practical fabrics to keep you warm and dry. This line is only in our Woburn location and online at SkiHaus.com.  We have also bumped up our selection in all three stores of Helly Hansen for Men, Women and Juniors. The Norwegians know how to stay warm and dry!  Plus, the kid's and junior selections of outerwear and inner wear are stocked and ready to go from Obermeyer, Sunice, Patagonia, Spyder and a brand new line from Australia called XTM!  XTM features waterproof, breathable fabric with PFC-FREE coatings and 100% recycled insulation all at a very reasonable price...offering you and your “littles or bigs” a great value! XTM is exclusive (in our area) to Ski Haus. Check back daily as new items are being added every day.           Here is a tongue twister for the kids: Whether the weather be fine or whether the weather be not, Whether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot, We’ll weather the weather whatever the weather, whether we like it or not!   So come on in and visit, let’s talk about the upcoming winter and where you are headed with your shiny new season pass and what you need to make only perfect days this winter.  Weather the weather and enjoy your time on the slopes!
